There are five Thursday nights in March, the 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th. Write in and tell me which nights you can make it or if it doesn't matter. If we can decide on a time, I'm thinking of having a contest. You can enter your name and a movie of your choice. It has to be something the group can watch, so no R-rated stuff. We'll have a random drawing of the entries, and whichever is picked will win a prize, dependent on if I can actually get screening permission from whatever company licenses the title (so make it easy on me and try for ADV or Funimation or Geneon, something like that).
Update: To officially submit a title, write an email to iplanime@gmail.com with: The name of your movie and your real name (because I don't remember yet whose address is whose). You may enter one movie, so make it your best pick. Or if you just happen to be at the library and want to drop off your entry, write a note to either myself or Amanda and leave it at the Fiction desk on the first floor. Or you can wait until the meeting on March 11th and put it in then.
If your entry is picked in the drawing, I then have to get screening permission for your movie from whatever production company puts it out. This is a legal thing and I can't help it. If permission is denied, you won't get the grand prize but I'll try to have a runner-up prize. Also, you have to provide the movie on the date of the movie night. You won't get your prize until then, so if you win and don't show or don't bring the movie you entered, nothing for you. I will have a back-up movie ready to go. Clear enough? Just comment if you have any more questions.

..and uh.. i dont really have any movies i can toss into the random drawing... unless i finally bother to go search for my Wolf's Rain and Tenchi vids... lol, im so lazy..

I can come any Thur in Mar as far as i kno unless a date comes up for band that idk about,i hope not bcuz i really wanna be there! So r we suppose to suggest a movie that we don't hav that u will get or one that we can bring? ummm well i dont think i hav any Funimation,Geneon,or ADV movies.
I think that i might wanna see Origin-Spirits of the Past;Redwall season 1;or FullMetal Alchemist the movie-Conqueror of Shambala that is Funimation and Tokyo Underground-Awakening vol.1 that is Geneon. I hav not seen any of those. I kno that's four but i don't see that anyone else has suggested anything. There is a lot i havnt seen since my pc is too slow to watch vid on and i don't get any special channels on tv just the basics like adult swim.
You have to be able to provide the movie. That means you can own it, borrow it from a friend, get it from the library, buy it, or make it on your computer. Right now, we don't have any funding or sponsors, so it's not really possible for me to buy anything. The snacks at the meetings are coming out of my pocket!
It doesn't have to be Funimation or anything, it'll just be easier to get screening permissions, but you don't have to worry about that.

well.. if we HAVE to pick a thursday, why not the next one? March 8th? ...or like Daisy has said, it could be on the 22nd.
I've only gotten two movie submissions thus far. I'd like to see a few more. And why not March 8th? Well, that's just too dang soon and too dang close to our regular meeting. I'm thinking the 22nd is sounding good. Yall speak up if you have any trouble making a certain date, because once I put it on the calendar that's it.
I will post here too. Initial D for the movie and any Thursday is fine. I want to see the FMA movie too but not till I finish with the anime (about 27 episodes left).
