Great Meeting!

I want to thank all of you for coming and let's give special thanks to Kristina, Jennifer, and Jiggaro (James) for working extra hard to get all the food laid out and balloons blown up in time for the meeting (we were there an hour early folks; that's dedication). Big thanks to Linda for all the great giveaways.

I hope all of you enjoyed the special activities we had this time; there will be more to come, although we will never lose our focus on watching anime. On that note, I also hope you enjoyed watching Phantom Memory Kurau and Fruits Basket, although I know full well just about all of you have watched or own FruBa (and I did see a tear in James' eye after the show). Funimation sent the surveys separately this time and we only got them today, but I need to get some filled out by you guys. If you showed up on Sunday and you're showing up on Thursday, I will have them to give to you. You NEED to fill them out so I can send them in. This is how we pay the kind folks at Funimation and it's all they ask, but they do demand it. You want free dvds, fill out the surveys.

Do not forget that we will be watching Final Fantasy: Advent Children this Thursday night. The meeting starts at 6:30 and the showing will start at 7. If just a few of you will pledge some money, we will get pizza. If you can, chip in one or two dollars; every little bit helps. I'll gladly buy you drinks out of my pocket, but unfortunately I don't always have the money to buy a lot of stuff for the group. So write me back if you can pledge a donation. If we've got enough donations by Thursday, we'll be good to go.

We were having technical difficulties with the projector setup at this past meeting. I don't know yet if they'll be worked out by movie night; it's completely out of our hands. I'll let you know just as soon as I know, and if you don't want to have a movie night without the big screen, you let me know.

Reminder: Next Club Meeting will be May 13th!!!!!
I will give you updates as details are worked out. At this point we don't have anything planned nor do I know what ADV or Funimation will be sending us. We might, however, start watching Ouran High School Host Club as our regular series; stay tuned for details. I'll send updates as I get more information. And we are now meeting 2-5, not starting at 3 like before. Show up on time if you want to do the fun stuff.

I'm also thinking that we will start doing movie nights regularly on the fourth Thursday of every month. That would make our next movie night May 24th. That should keep it from getting too close to the regular meetings. Let me know what you think about it.
