Thanks and reminder

Thanks to all of you for coming out last Sunday and taking part in the Irving Anime Club's monthly meeting. James let me know how much he enjoyed having hula hoops thrown at him or near him or over him (but rarely on him). He says he's willing to do it again, so we may just do that at our next regular meeting on June 10th. Speaking of our next regular meeting, I don't know yet what our ADV title will be, but we will be getting Galaxy Railways V.1 from Funimation, and we'll almost certainly be watching some more Ouran High School Host Club, kindly provided to us by John. Also, much appreciation to everyone who filled out their surveys for ADV and Funimation. I keep saying it, but surveys are the cash with which we "pay" ADV and Funimation for their free stuff, so we must be scrupulous about filling those out, and thanks to all of you who did so this last time.

Reminder: The Irving Anime Club's monthly movie night will be taking place this coming Thursday. We'll be showing Steamboy (as long as someone brings me a copy, that is), from 7-9. I encourage you to show up a little early so we can all get settled in, and with luck we'll get started right at 7. For those of you who haven't seen Steamboy, I encourage you to watch it. It's a pretty decent film and the second by Katsushiro Otomo (of Akira fame). For those of you who have seen it, I doubt any of you have watched it on anything larger than your tv screen, and with the sound in the auditorium finally working correctly, it'll be a whole new experience. Plus which, I may even manage to have a door prize for people who come see the movie.

To those of you who weren't there at the last meeting, we missed you and you missed some great fun. Don't make a habit of skipping or you'll miss out on lots of giveaways and prizes! I'll see you all there at the movie night, and I'm looking forward to it!
