Anybody like DragonBall Z?

I know somebody out there still likes DragonBall Z. Did you know there's going to be a live-action movie? Yeah...we'll be watching out for that.

Speaking of movies, have you guys ever looked at the library's selection of anime? I know we don't have a ton of stuff, but there's a few things you might be interested in. Naturally there's a bunch of Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli stuff.

Kiki's Delivery Service

Spirited Away

Castle in the Sky

Howl's Moving Castle

My Neighbor Totoro

Princess Mononoke

Whisper of the Heart

Akira

Ghost in the Shell

A variety of Pokemon

Some Dragonball

Grave of the Fireflies

Barefoot Gen (which is both horrifying and boring)

And there's probably a few more, but I'm not taking the time to try to find every anime title in the system. The point is, there are a few things, and if anybody listens to me we'll get some more in the future.

Update: Oh yeah, I know I emailed this out but I'm putting it as a reminder; we have the Naruto movie (Naruto: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow) on order. It's not in yet, but you can place a request on it. I thought it was actually pretty decent, even though it's got nothing to do with the ongoing series and has no effect on the continuity. They put some more money into the animation too, so it looks pretty good.

I was reminded tonight that I was supposed to put up details of the midnight showing of Steamboy. You can look here for directions. It's playing at midnight at the Inwood on January 4th and 5th.

While my grandpa was flipping through channels, I saw Kiki's Delivery Service but I had missed alot of it. I watched like the last 30 minutes of it and it looks good. Grave of the Fireflies sometimes comes on on the Funimation channel. It was ok. But here's a movie you should really check out! Project A-Ko 1,2 and 3. Its a really cool anime movie and I think its an old one at that. Check it out sometime.
