Thanks to all for coming to the meeting, it was lots of fun. Thanks also to our entrants in the first ever Irving Anime Club art contest. There were a lot of great submissions. Remember at the next movie night we will still be accepting art for the display coming up in February, so if you've got anything you want to show, please bring it by.
I had all the art scanned in so I may putting up a link on the blog or something like that. Look for it this week.
Coming up: we've got the movie night on the 24th, which is Thursday of next week. I think this time we'd agreed we're going to show a solid block of Ouran. Be there for that; you know you like it!
Our next regular meeting will be coming up Sunday, February 10th from 2-5PM in the Central Library Auditorium. We will definitely be watching some more Ouran and I think School Rumble. Hope to see you all there.
PS. There may be some people for whom I do not have the correct email address. If you get this email and your friend doesn't, please make sure they write me with their new, correct email address (and tell me who they are!) so that I can make sure everybody is getting the emails they're supposed to be getting. Thanks.

cya thurs ^.^
does anyone kno if there's gonna be a valentine party at the library this yr?
That's a good question. I'll relay it to Amanda.
No, there's not this year. I think the anti-valentine's day program pretty much died once I stopped being the teen librarian. BUT we do have some pretty cool programs coming up in March. Saturday, March 1 we're hosting a Teen Tech Week TechKnow Day starting at 11 a.m.and running to 5 p.m. From 11-1 we're going to be playing guitar hero and rock back, as well as eating some pizza. Then from 1-2 an iPod cover craft thingy. From 2-4 a workshop on video editing and scrapblogging. And, from 4-5 we're showing a short film compiled from pictures you guys submit about a day in your life as an Irving teen.
So come to that and take pictures with either your cell phone or digital cameras and send them to me (ahipp@cityofirving.org). You've got from now until Feb. 20 to get me as many photos as you want and then you'll get to see yourself on the big screen in the Day in the Life Film Festival!
And, then of course later on in May we have the Anime marathon and other teen Spring Break activities.
oh,thats too bad,no anti-val party :(
but that sounds great about the guitar hero,i nev get to play it,and all that other stuff sounds great so i definitely plan on attending that!!! thx 4 the info!!!
