It was good to see all of you who came out last night and I hope you all had a great time watching the last three episodes of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. For those of you who want more, there will be a second season, but it hasn't even been created yet, much less imported to America so we'll still be waiting a while. Don't worry though, I'm sure we'll be able to lay hands on it when it does.
Now don't forget our next meeting is on Sunday May 11th from 2-5PM (in the auditorium, as always). Yes, it's Mother's Day. Tell your moms you're giving them the best present possible by taking yourselves out of their hair and being somebody else's problem (mine) for three hours. I'll be happy to entertain you and feed you snacks. We'll be starting Genshiken, a show about an anime club! You know you want to see it.
Let me take this opportunity to remind you of a very cool event that happens on May 3rd. May 3rd is free comic book day. Unfortunately, there are no comic stores left in Irving (Lone Star closed a couple of months ago). Let me save you the trouble of deciding where to go. Zeus Comics is hosting an event called CAPE at a park right next to the store in a park. The store is in Dallas right off the Tollway at Lemmon. The drive is worth it though. Not only is there a huge 25 cent comic sale (thousands of issues), there will be dozens of comic artists and writers as well as other notable authors, a costume contest and booths where people will be giving out tons of promotional items. I hope to see some of you folk there, but if not then I'll catch you on the 11th!
